ASTROLOGY in my Coaching

If you have already been my coachee, (and remember that I'm a language coach not a professional astrologist) you already know that by the 21st/ 22nd of June or by Saint John's day -which we celebrate every 24th of June- I like to remind you that the rhythm of the planets are in us and that they have already inspired many works of Art. Beautiful, Good and Truthful stories. As for instance in Literature, we have writers like Shakespeare himself that sets in Saint John's Day and Night his A Midsummer Night's Dream.

So, that's one of the reasons why I celebrate the Solstice with you. Because you are part of it, you channel that creative energy on your actions, projects, daily work and relations... and- I must say this as a language coach- especially through words. Words written on any surface or articulated in a speech, whispered to a friendly ear or sang beautifully with or without people around, when shouted or even drawn, they do have the power you give them.

A Wishlist is a PDF that will be sent to your email with the 12 astrological axis. The exercise is to write a conscious wish -or desire- every new moon event, so at the end of the academic year, by the next 2023 Solstice you will have written all your wishes.

Then I suggest you burn this conscious "cosmic" list on a safe bonfire with a laurel leave or a small stem of Hypericum perforatum representing the energy of the sun, with the silver plant Lunaria that represents the energy of our earth natural satellite, the moon. The three plants can easily be found during your walks in Mount Abantos here in San Lorenzo de El Escorial during June and July months.

I also leave you here a chart with a scheme that will facilitate the memorisation of the 12 houses and the star signs in relation to the 4 elements. A quick review in their basic symbology, especially if you have read the novel "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott (1880):

Eter- it contains all- Marmee or The Mother

This analogy can be found on the 2nd Chapter of Little Women and in the colours of their dresses and other elements. The four girls received this book "The Pilgrim's Progress", written by John Bunyan in the 17th Century in 1678, as a Christmas present from their mother and the covers are: red, green, dove and blue.

My experience with Astrology is that it awakens completely your poetic and creative mind and your little self to the Unknown, you see further, deeper and more accurately the events in your life thanks to the practice of a symbolic thinking, and more importantly you end up comprehending yourself and others better. It's a map that helps to "Know thyself" or "Gnothi seauton" (γνῶθι σεαυτόν).
