Today I'm sharing a book in Spanish written by Jaime Buhigas Tallón, published by La Esfera de Los Libros and on sale from the 8th of March 2023:

My principal intention with this short review is, first of all, to say: "Thank you!" to him for writing it. Secondly, to spread the good news of its existence on paper. Get the book here.

Whenever you opened this treasure, you'll find an epistolary essay with a prologue of Guadalupe Lorente; structured in 18 tangible letters and an epilogue, this book is full of common sense and revolutionary ideas and noble-minded solutions to some individual and collective problems he has encountered in the profession during his more than 25 years of experience teaching adults, teenagers and children.

He writes and addresses these letters to you, reader, and to the main characters/protagonists of Education: headmasters, ministers of education, teachers, parents, school secretaries, playground monitors, kitchen teams, service technicians, cleaning ladies (cos they are usually women) and, of course, children of all ages. That is to say, nearly all of us!

There is a letter for everyone! and each includes its opportune and meaningful exercise in the post script (P.S). Simply brilliant!

If you are a teacher or if you are involved in any way with this noble ART, this very book will bring you joy and hope. It's true, believe me, your human heart will be refreshed and renewed while turning its pages.

Be ready to think thoroughly, burst into laughter, see eye to eye with the author and get ignited with his words... or even shed some tears. I did, they blurred inevitably my vision for few seconds while reading the 14th letter intended to the pre-schoolers-. It was pure Love!

If you are a teacher or an educator working at any school and you feel physically or mentally burnt out, this book may rescue you from the "Slough of Despond" (o "Fango del Desaliento") and be your best medicine making you feel proud of your efforts and real progress, no matter how teeny-tiny they may seem.

You, that answered the call of the muse many years ago, you that still believe and still are a transformative key-actor of the educational system in Spain... you'll be surprised and less confused.

In the epilogue, Jaime, my "Indiana Jones" of Spanish education, will blow the dust of an ancient-hidden figure and unveil with his descriptive and poetic words of skillful illustrator the muse of Education. He generously gives Her form and reason in his mind and at the end of the book, so She could be born in our symbolic mind, so She can be invoked when needed.
