APTIS ADVANCED

Aptis Advanced Exam with Ana Language Coach

Prepare with me the APTIS ADVANCED exam.

I can help you to pass with success this official exam.

You will be trained in passing the different parts, and I will help you to gain more confidence at the time of answering each question.

It is essential to keep your full attention and be very focused during the almost 3 hours that lasts the whole process. In fact, you will be doing it during 170 minutes in total, divided in five phases (1 per linguistic competence):

Grammar & Vocabulary: 25 minutes

Speaking: 10 minutes

Writing: 45 minutes

Listening: 30 minutes

Reading: 60 minutes

As this is a computer based test (CBT), you must be agile and skilful with the keyboard, the set of headphones with microphone and a mouse that the examination centre will provide. The day of the exam the invigilators from the British Council will guide you through the process. Your answers will be recorded and there is no dialogue with anybody, just you and the computer.

In this post, I am sharing with you the Speaking and Writing that I have created to accompany you during these weeks and based on my own experience studying it and performing it in January 2023. Perhaps, I should mentioned here -for you to have a bigger picture- that before I passed the Cambridge Advanced in 2015 and the IELTS with a B2 in 2008

I have to say here that I very much prefer, as a student and teacher, the Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) for two main reasons:

- one, because you meet people: invigilators, examiners and your speaking partner,

- and, secondly, the training in each linguistic skill is more exhaustive with the benefit of having the option to do it on paper.

If I had to describe it, the Aptis Advanced is the cheapest, most convenient, fastest way to test your Advanced English level and get a diploma in less than 1 month, but if you are "a long-distance runner" aiming for the highest mark, I would recommend to perform the Proficiency (CPE). The former is issued by the British Council, the latter by Cambridge University, and the differences in the processes, contents and finesse in the approach assessment are noticeable.

If you are already one of my 🌸🐝 busy bees coachees, send me an email with the exercises on a recording (Speaking training) or in a Word document (Writing training) during the week before our next class to receive my feedback on time.
